Winnipeg, Mb – Premier Championship Wrestling announced today that they have added another weekly venue to their already busy schedule. Rookies Sports Bar, located inside the Central Hotel will become the Monday night home of PCW beginning October 21st 2002.

PCW has been promoting monthly events at Rookies for several months and nightclub management felt the time was right to increase those shows. PCW will now be seen each and every Monday night.

“This is a great opportunity for PCW to increase brand recognition across the Winnipeg market,” PCW VP Andrew Shallcross stated. “Our monthly events have been well received by the management and patrons and we feel we have a solid core following from which to build. It will take some time, but we are confidant Rookies can be built into another PCW success story.”

PCW Creative Director Michael Davidson noted the additional shows would be a tremendous benefit to the company. “It allows us to carry a larger roster and develop new ideas and concepts,” Davidson said. “The unique Rookies’ environment affords us creative opportunities we haven’t really explored too deeply yet.”

Premier Championship Wrestling is the most active independent sports entertainment promotion in Manitoba and the only company with two weekly venues. In addition to Rookies Sports Bar every Monday night beginning October 21st, PCW performs at the Stratosphere Nightclub every Thursday night.
